Relational Parenting

Parenting in the Moment is a practical course for parents who are trying to support a child with big emotions, intense reactions, or behaviour that feels hard to reach.

This course is not about fixing behaviour. It is about understanding what is happening in your child’s nervous system and learning how to respond in ways that build safety, regulation, and trust.

Many parents come to this course feeling stuck. They have tried strategies, routines, rewards, and consequences, but nothing seems to hold when their child is overwhelmed. This course explains why that happens and what helps instead.

You will learn:

  • Why children lose access to thinking and reflection when emotions run high

  • How to recognise your child’s arousal state in real time

  • What to say and do when your child is dysregulated

  • How to stay connected without escalating the situation

  • How to repair after things go wrong, because they will sometimes

The focus is on parenting in the middle of real moments, not after the fact and not in ideal conditions. The language is clear, grounded, and easy to return to when you are tired or unsure.

This course is especially helpful if your child is anxious, explosive, withdrawn, rigid, or easily overwhelmed, or if you often find yourself walking on eggshells.

You do not need to be calm all the time.
You do not need to get it right every time.
You need a framework that makes sense and supports both you and your child.

That is what this course is designed to offer.
